Plans are well under way for the 2008 Annual Recital for The Dance Studio of Fresno (TDS) at The Saroyan Theatre. All Dress Rehearsals and Recitals will be held June 16
TH through 20
TH.
To insure a pleasant Recital experience for you and your family, we would like to provide you with the following checklist. Please save this document for future use.
January 26:
All fees for Recital Costumes are due. Costumes generally cost between $50 to $80. We accept cash, personal checks, money orders, Visa and MasterCard. Costumes not paid for by January 26TH are subject to a $10 surcharge (per costume) for us to place late orders.
Costumes will not be ordered unless your account is current as of February 1ST. No exceptions will be made to this policy.
To determine the cost of costumes for individual classes, we have a costume price list printed on the reverse of this page. Size XL requires an additional $15 per costume, which is not reflected in prices quoted.
If you would like to see your costumes, we have color photos of most costumes available for your inspection at the studio. These are Master Books and therefore, we are not able to offer each student individual pictures of their costumes.
Students are measured for costumes and we order them from specialty manufacturers. Costumes are not custom made. We order from manufacturers’ sizing charts and make every effort to account for normal childhood growth from the time we measure until Recital. Unfortunately, we can not be held responsible for fitting a child who experiences an excessive growth spurt since measurements were taken. If you have concerns regarding your costume sizes, please contact us.
We are unable to return costumes to the suppliers and therefore, TDS will not provide refunds or studio credit for students who are unable or choose not to perform in Recital. Again, there are no exceptions to this policy.
April 5:
The Recital Fee is due. This fee is based on the charges we incur for use of The Saroyan Theatre and the number of students participating in Recital. The fee will be $90 per family. Payment of this fee entitles you to 15 tickets, which are re-usable and valid for all performances. We are unable to give refunds or studio credit to students who are unable or choose not to perform in Recital. Tickets will be distributed after June 1ST, once the June tuition has been paid.
June 16-20:
Please reserve these dates for Dress Rehearsal and Recital performances at The Saroyan Theatre. All Dress Rehearsals for regular classes will take place June 16-17. Elite Team rehearsals will take place June 17-20. We will host four Recital Performances the evenings of June 17-20. Students in beginning and most intermediate classes will dance in one of the four scheduled performances. Some advanced classes may dance in more than one show. We will post specifics for dress rehearsal and recital dates by June 1ST.
Recital Photos:
Recital photos of classes (and individuals) will be taken by ProPix following Dress Rehearsals at The Saroyan Theatre. We like to have all students appear in class photos, even if you do not plan to buy them. ProPix offers a variety of photo packages for groups and individuals. Purchase of photos is optional.
Videotapes:
All performances will be videotaped by SW Video and you may purchase videos of any or all of the Shows. SW offers several packages/pricing options to meet your individual needs.

In order to keep the Recital Fee to a minimum, we may need to enlist several parents to volunteer as Ushers during the performances. Please let us know if you would be available to help. We appreciate your assistance.
